The Acme automatic self-cleaning strainer is a motorized strainer designed for the continuous removal of entrained solids from liquids in pipeline systems. Automatic self-cleaning strainer provides unattended service with the addition of external backwash fluid that enhances the self-cleaning attribute over other automatic strainers. It cleans the straining element with a patented outside to in process using an external backwash flow. Self-Cleaning Strainers are recommended for systems where completely automatic back-flushing is required, and where flow may not be interrupted. Primarily designed for applications where large or undetermined amounts of debris make the use of a duplex strainer impractical.
