Carbon Dioxide Sensor
To maintain a healthy environment in an enclosed vehicular facility, install the carbon dioxide sensor to start the exhaust fans and open fresh air dampers when the CO concentration rises to prescribed levels, normally 25 or 35 PPM based on local building codes. By using demand-based ventilation control you can save up to 70% of the energy costs when compared to running the fans full time, especially in hot or cold climates where heating or cooling is an added expense.

The carbon dioxide sensor (CO2) signal shall be used as inputs to the ventilation control system, which shall be adjustable to operate outdoor air ventilation dampers such that the indoor air CO2 level does not exceed 1000 PPM.

This carbon dioxide sensor system is designed for return air duct sampling, installation in rooftop air handling units or dirty indoor environments where a simple, wall mounted CO2 transmitter will not stand up to the environment and be damaged or contaminated.
